Fattening others

Operation undoing

Thought it would be fun to document and discuss the overall morphing of my once-insanely fit boy toy letting go, his gradual undoing.

We started at 5'11 155, in incredible shape, hardly an ounce of fat on him. Took great pride in his physique and fitness and small appetite. He's quite a bit older, so it was pretty impressive, objectively.
He barely ate, would never finish a meal (little quirk of always leaving one bite), constantly moving. On a medication that greatly reduces appetite and increases energy/focus, so basically constantly doing active stuff and forgetting to eat.

It always irked me, but it's part of him, and while I subtly encouraged him to eat more and relax, he was pretty set in his ways. But one evening, we went to one of those Greek diners with the huge portions, and he *ate*. I found myself so turned on the whole time and couldn't stop thinking about it all night, so I finally told him how I was so into seeing him eat like that - letting go, enjoying it, taking whatever he wanted.

It's been a few months since I revealed this side of me, and he's gotten more and more into it. He's up almost 20lbs up now!

His capacity is still pretty low, though.. working on that smiley

His sweet tooth is helping lots - on top of when I'm actively feeding him cookies and such, a bowl full of his favorite little candies just magically appeared next to his chair in the living room.. two days later, it was nearly empty. So he certainly helps things along himself!

He's been as high as 190, I believe, years and years ago. Surpassing that is the obvious goal, and 200+ would be.. mind-blowing. We'll see!

I've been reading stories about women whose boyfriends/husbands have put on weight, and the common factor seems to be home cooking. I've always been into baking, but I'm clueless about cooking, so maybe it's time to learn! If anyone has recommendations for things that are fairly easy to make and.. ahem.. indulgent.. please share!

In the meantime, I've just made one of his favorites - homemade banana pudding!

Banana for scale seemed very appropriate.. lol

2,159 cal in the whole thing, so fairly high cal. I think he'll like it..

Do you have a specific look you’re going for? If you don’t then whatever you’re doing is fine calories will make someone fat. If you want to avoid a round firm belly there’s some things to avoid and some things to focus on doing instead.

So far, I'm absolutely loving how he's gaining - I swear, of the 18lbs he's gained so far, 16-17 went to his belly and 1-2 went to his face! I love his big round belly. I'd be curious to hear about how the fat might be directed elsewhere, though; his skinny legs always bothered me 😅 Would be nice to see some meat there.

I suspect Becomingoverweight will show up here at some point to talk about this in more depth (that user seems to be the resident expert on fat deposits)

Basically sugar and carbs tend to be correlated with visceral fat gain (internal fat that surrounds organs is more dangerous and makes the belly firm). Dairy products, especially heavy cream, tend to promote subcutaneous fat deposits. Jiggly surface fat.

Also: alcohol very much promotes visceral. It’s how I ended up with the belly I have. In hindsight I wish I could’ve gained more subcutaneous and less visceral both for health and aesthetics

Interesting, thanks for explaining! I wasn't aware of how different sources of calories could do that; I figured it was more a matter of how fat was naturally stored for any given person. Definitely makes sense about alcohol - the old "beer belly" thing! I'll try to aim for more subcutaneous-encouraging stuff; his belly is pretty firm despite its girth, and I'd hate to think that would harm his health.

I can’t say that it’s for sure and natural body composition seems to play a larger role (for example men tend to get the firm belly whereas women get those soft rolls)

I’d highly recommend making Alfredo sauce. It has a disturbingly large amount of heavy cream and butter. That and it’s delicious

That certainly makes sense - probably a combo of nature and nurture!
Alfredo sauce is a stellar idea, thank you!! He loves stuff like that. I think a nice Italian dinner might be in order soon..

Pro tip: if he drinks coffee use heavy cream instead of creamer. It adds up fast. Just don’t over do it (too much dietary fat too soon can cause some digestion issues. Think urgent trip to bathroom)

Ooh, good idea. We don't live together, but I'll suggest it. Thanks for the heads up on not overdoing it; trying to walk the fine line of maximum gain and him enjoying it, vs going overboard and making him feel ill and more reserved with his eating.
